Community rules

JoinChat works when people can talk freely without being harassed, scammed or exposed to illegal content. Breaking these rules gets messages removed, people removed from rooms, and accounts banned.

Never allowed

• Anything involving minors in a sexual or exploitative way. No exceptions, no role-play, no “jokes”. You must be 18+ to use JoinChat. We remove this content, ban the account and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
• Illegal content, including selling drugs or weapons, and sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent.
• Threats, harassment and hate against a person or group.
• Sharing someone’s private information (address, phone number, workplace, photos) without their permission.
• Scams and spam: fake giveaways, phishing links, pyramid schemes, repeating the same message across rooms.

Adult rooms

• Rooms about sex, fetishes, findom, sugar dating or other adult topics must be marked 18+. JoinChat marks them automatically when it spots adult words; owners can also tick the box in room settings.
• Keep adult conversation inside 18+ rooms.
• Nobody owes anyone money, photos or attention. Pressure, threats or blackmail break the harassment rule.

Running a room

• Room owners can write their own extra rules, delete messages and remove people from their room.
• Rooms with misleading names, or that only exist to advertise, may be hidden.

Report a problem

Open the menu (⋯) on a message and choose Report, or use Report on a room or profile. Reports about minors are reviewed first.
