Privacy

This page explains what JoinChat stores and why. We keep it short because we store little.

What is public

• Your username, profile photo, bio, the city and country you choose to show, and the links you add.
• Messages you post in rooms. Anyone can read rooms, and search engines may show them.

What is private

• Your email address. It’s used to log in, to reset your password and, if you leave them on, for reply alerts. It’s never shown to other members.
• Your password, stored only as a secure hash.
• Your notifications, blocks and reports.

Cookies

If you’re not logged in, JoinChat sets no cookies of its own, except a small one if you confirm you’re 18+ in an adult room. When you log in, we use a session cookie and a “stay logged in” cookie. We count visits with StatCounter.

Deleting things

You can delete any of your messages and photos at any time. To close your account completely, contact us from the email address on your account.
